Firewood

The most important factor for optimum firewood performance is keeping it dry. If the firewood is damp or wet, it will be harder to ignite, is prone to smoke when burned and will generate less heat, compromising your energy savings. Wood must sit for at least a full season, preferably the summer. Purchasing your firewood early guarantees readiness for the burning season.

I have a mix of the following hardwoods:

  • Hickory
  • Ash
  • Birch
  • Oak
  • Apple
  • Locust
  • Maple
  • Hackberry

Specialty Cooking and Smoking Woods (Red Oak, White Oak, Hickory, and Cherry) Available Upon Request.
